BRINGING THE OUTDOORS INSIDE

We enjoy being surrounded by nature and feeling its presence around us. So, if we can’t live in the middle of nature, we can find ways of bringing it inside our homes!

Bringing the outside in is an increasingly popular goal for homeowners. The past few years have seen lots of creative ideas for bringing the outdoors in, which is particularly perfect for homes that might be lacking the outdoor space.

The outdoors has a natural appeal to humans, as the sky, earth, water, and other outdoor elements make us feel refreshed and calm. But how do we get these elements from the outdoors inside of our home? The obvious way would be by bringing plants into our living space. Although it’s a wonderful idea, it can’t hurt to think of something else.

The most common way of including nature in your home – is decorating areas of your home with elements such as flowers, fruits and vegetables. You can use these as centrepieces or in a variety of other ways. Use lemons, limes and mint for a visual and aromatic outdoor inspiration! Put these accents everywhere you can, including the hallway and your bathroom, and these pieces will add to your space a little connection with nature.

You can also use elements found in nature as your home decor, such as seashells, jars of beach sand, stones, pinecones or branches, amongst other elements which you can incorporate into your everyday living to bring the outdoors in. Try adding photographs and murals of these elements if you don’t have the real thing on hand. You can also use these little things as accent details and combine them with any of the suggested nature-themed elements below:
